Since 2001, when the company came under a new management team, it has successfully expanded, adding substantially to it’s product range and customer base. This includes major expansion across the EU, with sales representation in mainland Europe and
distribution hubs in The Netherlands and Italy.
Customers and suppliers have benefited from a high level of technical and commercial support from our highly qualified personnel resulting in trusting, long term relationships.
The company has appointed two new directors who will take care of the day to day business.
Chris Crow who joined Langley-Smith four years ago, is qualified in
International Business and Law and has French and Spanish as additional languages. He previously spent ten years in sales, and latterly, the management of a European business research company. He will manage the commercial functions within the
company, including sales, purchasing, customer service and logistics.
René Smit who is a qualified Chemical Engineer with many years’
experience in the industry, having been employed by Eastman
Chemical Company and Hercules Inc. including the management of both the Resins Division and Coatings Divisions, EMEA region. He will lead the company’s expansion initiative and manage technical aspects of the business.
Both will be ably assisted by our technical and commercial sales
departments and support functions and will report to David Crow (MD).
We regard this as a major step forward for the company and it is
intended to give a clearer focus and structure to the business,
introducing more modern methods and initiatives whilst allowing David to manage the overall direction of the company via the
management team and to investigate new initiatives.
