DGSA 2- Day Refresher September

The five-year gap between DGSA requalification’s and the fact that most people only use very specific provisions on a day-to-day basis often means that candidates are less prepared than they would like.   To aid those considering requalification, the Chemical Business Association has designed a two-day workshop to update and refresh all aspects of the ADR chapters and provide specific exam guidance and question practice.   The exam is an ‘open book’ format and so all the information necessary is at the candidate’s fingertips. However, candidates also need to understand ‘how to apply the knowledge’, ‘what the markers will be looking for’ and ‘how to reference the answers’

REACH Refresher and Update

The UK left the European Union at the end of 2020 with the UK REACH regulation was been enacted into UK law. Since then, it has been subject to a number of deadlines for action, revisions to legal aspects and a myriad of guidance following questions raised by industry. There is still a large degree of confusion as to what to do and how to do it. The first registration deadline for companies within UK REACH is the 27th October 2026 and will require companies to fulfil their registration obligations to continue to trade in a substance(s). The next deadlines follow in 2028 and 2030 so it is key that companies understand their obligations, agree a ‘way forward’ and prepare accordingly.
